PSHE
At Hollycroft Primary School, Personal, Social, Health and Economic (PSHE) education is taught using the Jigsaw programme. This comprehensive scheme supports pupils in developing the knowledge, skills and attitudes they need to thrive both in school and in the wider world.
Through a carefully structured curriculum, pupils explore topics such as wellbeing, relationships, emotional literacy and personal responsibility. Jigsaw encourages children to understand themselves and others, develop resilience and build positive relationships.
Our aim is for pupils to feel confident, valued and supported as they grow. PSHE at our school helps children develop the skills they need to stay healthy, safe, and prepared for life in modern society.
Everyone's Welcome
At our school, we are proud to embed the Everyone’s Welcome approach across our curriculum, ensuring that every child feels seen, valued, and represented. Through carefully selected texts, inclusive teaching practices, and meaningful discussions, we celebrate diversity in all its forms—culture, identity, family structure, ability and belief. Our curriculum is designed to challenge stereotypes, promote empathy and foster a strong sense of belonging for all learners. By creating a safe and respectful environment where differences are embraced, we empower pupils to develop confidence, compassion and a deep understanding of the world around them. This commitment supports not only academic success but also the personal growth of every member of our school community.
