Art
At Hollycroft Primary School, Art is taught using the Kapow Primary scheme of work. This curriculum provides a progressive approach that enables pupils to develop their creativity, artistic skills and understanding of different art forms.
Through a range of practical activities, pupils explore drawing, painting, sculpture and other creative techniques while learning about a variety of artists, styles and cultural influences. Kapow Primary supports the development of key artistic skills and encourages pupils to experiment, reflect on their work and express their ideas confidently.
Our aim is for pupils to develop a love of art, build confidence in their creative abilities, and learn to appreciate art in many different forms. Art at our school encourages children to think imaginatively, take creative risks and take pride in their work.
